Our History
STAR ELEVATOR Company was founded in February 1995.
We began operations with a few key clients
in downtown Chicago and have since built a reputation
for consistently doing quality work. We have always
been committed to providing all of our customers
with quality services in a prompt manner. We are
as dedicated to customer service today as we were
when we began!
Since our humble beginnings in Chicago, STAR
has expanded to include the greater Chicagoland
area from the Wisconsin border to the Kankakee
Area and all of Northwestern Indiana. STAR relocated
from Chicago to Merrillville, Indiana, in 2003
in order to better serve all of our customers.
The new facility offers our company a central
location for all of our projects and provides
adequate office and warehouse space.
Our staff has grown
to include 25 full-time employees: four office/sales
people, four project managers, and 17 field technicians.
We have proven our ability to adapt to a changing
industry by building a solid foundation to fulfill
all of your elevator,
and escalator,
needs now and in the future.
Every company that successfully competes in business for a number of years develops certain definable
characteristics or a “corporate personality” that is unique to that company. Our mission has always
been to create an organization dedicated to excellence in the installation, repair, and maintenance of elevator
and escalator equipment. Those strong work ethics continue to this day!
